I strive to heal the root traumas that underlie distressing conditions.
In my therapeutic work a deep-seated issue or pattern is treated as a mind-body condition that is rooted in unhealed past traumas. The condition may be anxiety, PTSD, phobias, fears, nightmares, panic attacks, control issues, depression, low self-esteem, chronic pain, self-defeating thought or behavior patterns, work-life or career challenges, intimate partner or parent-child relationship difficulties (abuse, deep misunderstandings, power struggles, love-hate dynamic) and more.
The root traumas of deep-seated conditions may be from the present lifetime, the prenatal period, or during the birth experience. In some cases they may even be from earlier lifetimes. Even though the memory of these events may be outside of our conscious remembrance, nonetheless these long forgotten unhealed wounds continue to get triggered and subconsciously cause mind-body distress in our present day lives.
In my work with clients, I offer Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Experiential, Humanistic, and Regression Therapy according to what may be appropriate in a specific situation. As part of this integrative approach a spiritual perspective often informs my work.
